Adaptibles Terms of Service

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ('Terms') govern your access to and use of the Adaptibles platform, including our website at www.adaptibles.com, our web application, our mobile application, and all associated services, features, and content (collectively, 'the Platform').

Adaptibles is operated by Adaptibles CIC, a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales ('Adaptibles', 'we', 'us', or 'our'), with our principal place of business in Middlesbrough, United Kingdom.

By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy, all of which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

These Terms should be read alongside our Community Guidelines, which govern conduct within community and discussion spaces on the Platform.

2. Who We Are and What We Do

Adaptibles is a neuroinclusive digital learning and talent development platform. We are designed for neurodivergent and differently-abled adult learners, with the mission of creating learning environments that adapt to the learner rather than requiring learners to conform to rigid structures.

Our Platform includes an AI learning assistant named Ada, an adaptive onboarding system, course content created by instructors, community discussion spaces, and learner progression and reward features.

Adaptibles is a Community Interest Company. This means we are a social enterprise with a stated mission to benefit the community. Our work is not driven by shareholder profit but by the needs of our learners.

3. Eligibility

To use the Adaptibles Platform, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age. The Platform is not intended for children under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of your country of residence.
  • Not be barred from using the Platform under any applicable law.
  • If registering as an instructor, meet any additional eligibility requirements communicated to you during the instructor application process.

By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements. If we become aware that a user does not meet them, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate their account without notice.

4. Accounts and Registration

4.1 Creating Accounts

To access most features of the Platform, you must register for an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Choose a password that is reasonably secure and keep it confidential
  • Not create an account on behalf of another person without their explicit authorisation
  • Not create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing restrictions or moderation outcomes

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect that your account has been compromised or that someone else has accessed it without your authorisation, you must notify us immediately at,

Adaptibles will never ask for your password via email or any other unsolicited communication. You should treat any such request as suspicious and report it to us.

4.3 Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your account at any time if:

  • You have breached these Terms or our Community Guidelines
  • We believe your account is being used for fraudulent or unlawful purposes
  • Your account has been inactive for an extended period and we have been unable to contact you
  • We are required to do so by law or regulation

Where possible and lawful to do so, we will give you reasonable notice before taking such action and provide you with an opportunity to respond.

5. Accessibility Commitment

Accessibility is not an afterthought at Adaptibles. It is foundational to everything we build.

We are committed to ensuring that the Platform is accessible to users with a broad range of needs, including those who are neurodivergent, have sensory or cognitive differences, or use assistive technologies. This commitment includes:

  • Ongoing work to meet and exceed WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards across the Platform
  • An adaptive onboarding system that tailors your initial experience to your declared learning profile
  • Platform-wide accessibility controls, including adjustable text size, contrast settings, and reduced motion options, accessible via the accessibility panel on every page
  • Continuous testing with users who have lived experience of the conditions our Platform serves
  • A named accessibility contact and a clear route for users to report barriers

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our Platform, please tell us. We take all accessibility reports seriously and aim to respond within five working days. Contact us at support@adaptibles.com with the subject line 'Accessibility Report'.

We acknowledge that our Platform is in active development and that not every feature may be fully accessible at all times. We commit to transparency about known limitations and to prioritising their resolution.

6. Platform Use and Acceptable Conduct

6.1 Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms, Adaptibles grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your own personal, non-commercial learning and development purposes.

Instructors are additionally granted permission to create, publish, and manage course content on the Platform in accordance with the Instructor Agreement provided at the time of application.

6.2 Prohibited Conduct

You must not use the Platform to:

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
  • Upload, transmit, or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of Adaptibles or any third party
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, its servers, or any data belonging to other users
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to extract data from the Platform without our written consent
  • Circumvent, reverse-engineer, or tamper with any security or access control feature
  • Conduct or promote any form of illegal activity
  • Engage in any conduct that disrupts, damages, or impairs the normal functioning of the Platform
  • Use the Platform to send unsolicited commercial communications

6.3 Community Spaces

Use of any community or discussion feature on the Platform is additionally governed by our Community Guidelines, which are published at www.adaptibles.com/community-guideline. Violations of the Community Guidelines may result in restrictions on your account in addition to any action taken under these Terms.

7. Course Content and Instructors

7.1 Course Content

Courses on Adaptibles are created by independent instructors. Adaptibles reviews instructor applications and maintains quality and conduct standards, but does not create, edit, or take responsibility for the specific accuracy or completeness of third-party course content.

Learners are advised to use their own judgment when applying course content and to seek professional advice where appropriate, particularly in areas such as health, finance, law, or therapy.

7.2 Instructor Obligations

Instructors who create content on Adaptibles agree to the Instructor Agreement and confirm that:

  • They hold all necessary rights to publish the content they upload
  • Their content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Their content complies with applicable law and these Terms
  • They will maintain their content and respond to learner questions in a timely and professional manner

7.3 Content Removal

Adaptibles reserves the right to remove any course content that breaches these Terms, our content standards, or applicable law. Instructors will be notified where removal occurs and, where appropriate, given an opportunity to remedy the issue before removal.

8. Payments, Refunds, and Pricing

8.1 Paid Content

Some courses and features on Adaptibles are available only on payment of a fee. All prices are displayed on the Platform and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change, but changes will not affect purchases already made.

8.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through our third-party payment provider, Stripe. By making a payment on the Platform, you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to these Terms. Adaptibles does not store your full payment card details.

8.3 Refunds Policy

You may request a refund for a course purchase within 14 days of the date of purchase, provided that you have not completed more than 20% of the course content. This is in addition to any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

To request a refund, contact us at support@adaptibles.com with your order details. We aim to process all refund requests within 10 working days.

Refunds will not be issued where a course has been substantially completed, where a significant period of time has passed beyond the 14-day window, or where there is evidence of abuse of our refund policy.

8.4 Instructor Earnings

Instructors who generate revenue through the Platform are subject to the payment terms set out in the Instructor Agreement, including Adaptibles' commission structure and withdrawal conditions. Adaptibles uses Stripe Connect to facilitate instructor payments.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Adaptibles IP

All content, design, code, branding, and materials created by Adaptibles and published on the Platform, including but not limited to the Adaptibles name and logo, Ada the AI learning assistant, the platform interface, and all original written content, are the intellectual property of Adaptibles CIC and are protected by copyright, trade mark, and other applicable laws.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of Adaptibles intellectual property to you. Your right to use the Platform is limited to the licence granted in these Terms.

9.2 User-Generated Content

Content you create and submit to the Platform, including course materials (if you are an instructor), community posts, discussion contributions, and reviews, remains your intellectual property. By submitting content to the Platform, you grant Adaptibles a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, host, reproduce, and distribute that content within the Platform and in connection with our promotional activities, to the extent necessary to operate and improve the service.

You confirm that any content you submit is either your original work or that you have the rights to submit it. You agree to indemnify Adaptibles against any claim arising from a breach of this confirmation.

9.3 AI-Generated Content

The Platform includes Ada, an AI learning assistant. Responses generated by Ada are intended to support your learning and are not to be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without permission. Ada's responses do not constitute professional advice of any kind.

10.Privacy and Data Protection

Adaptibles is committed to protecting your personal data and to operating transparently in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Our Privacy Policy, published at www.adaptibles.com/privacy, explains in full:

  • What personal data we collect and why
  • How we use, store, and protect your data
  • Who we share your data with
  • How long we retain your data
  • Your rights under data protection law and how to exercise them

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

11. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, and understand how users interact with our service. Our Cookie Policy, published at www.adaptibles.com/cookies, explains the types of cookies we use and how you can manage your preferences.

You can update your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings panel on the Platform.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or services. These are provided for your convenience and do not constitute an endorsement by Adaptibles. We have no control over the content or practices of third-party sites and accept no responsibility for them.

If you access any third-party service through the Platform, you do so at your own risk and subject to the terms of that third party.

13. AI Features and Limitations

Adaptibles uses artificial intelligence to power Ada, our learning assistant, and our content moderation system. You should be aware of the following:

  • Ada's responses are generated by AI and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate to your specific circumstances. Always apply your own judgment.
  • Ada is not a substitute for professional advice, including medical, therapeutic, legal, or financial advice.
  • AI moderation systems operate on the basis of pattern recognition and may occasionally flag content incorrectly. All AI moderation decisions are subject to human review. You may appeal any moderation outcome by contacting support@adaptibles.com.
  • We continually work to improve the accuracy, fairness, and inclusivity of our AI systems. If you believe an AI-generated response or moderation outcome has caused you harm, please let us know.

14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

14.1 No Warranty

The Platform is provided 'as is' and 'as available'. While we work hard to ensure a reliable, high-quality experience, Adaptibles makes no warranty, express or implied, that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

14.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Adaptibles shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter where it would be unlawful to do so.

14.3 Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer based in the United Kingdom, you have statutory rights that these Terms do not affect. For more information about your statutory rights, visit the Citizens Advice website at www.citizensadvice.org.uk or contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, applicable law, or business operations. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email and via a notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

If you continue to use the Platform after the effective date of any change, you will be deemed to have accepted the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform and may close your account.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at support@adaptibles.com to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. The remaining provisions of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.
